Craftsmanship combined with high technology

The color for the Oyster Perpetual line begins with lacquer, which must be carefully applied in a controlled atmosphere to prevent dust and other contaminants.

The brass base of the dial is coated with 6 layers of lacquer to create a smooth, uniform surface. The final step is varnishing and polishing to bring out the full brightness and depth of the color. The various engravings are then transferred in detailed stamping, the hour markers and crown are hand-riveted. The dial, sparkling perfectly, is ready to be assembled onto the movement in the watchmaking process.
