Inverted red triangles on the dial select the reference time – home or work time – on the off-center 24-hour display. At a glance, this 24-hour display clearly distinguishes daytime from nighttime in a different time zone.

A bold red rectangle in one of the 12 windows around the dial displays the current month, a hallmark of the Saros annual calendar. This ingenious mechanism simplifies life for the wearer, eliminating the need to constantly adjust the date at the end of months with 30 days. The annual calendar displays the exact date throughout the year. It only needs adjustment once a year – on March 1st (since February only has 28 or 29 days). The date is linked to local time and automatically adjusts to the traveler’s local time zone.

The Rolex fluted bezel is a hallmark of distinction. Initially, the flutes on the Oyster bezel were created to easily tighten the bezel to the case, ensuring absolute water resistance.

The design is similar to the flutes on the case back, which are screwed tightly to the case to ensure water resistance using Rolex’s special tools. Over time, the fluted design has become a highly aesthetic detail, a prominent feature of the Rolex style. Today, the fluted bezel is always made of gold and has become a distinctive hallmark of the brand. The Sky-Dweller is equipped with an interactive mechanism between the rotating bezel, the winding crown, and the movement: the Ring Command system, allowing the user to select each function of the watch and set them easily, quickly, and safely.

Soft and comfortable

Easily bendable and convenient, this five-link metal bracelet was designed specifically for the Oyster Perpetual Datejust model introduced in 1945.

The Jubilee bracelet on these watches is equipped with an Oysterclasp folding clasp and the convenient Easylink extension links, developed by Rolex, allowing the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm. The strap also includes patented ceramic pads – designed by the brand – located inside the links to enhance flexibility on the wrist and extend the strap’s lifespan.
